I was born in Oakland, raised in San Francisco and I've been fortunate to have lived in Europe and all over Northern California as well as a few other places in between which has afforded me a birds' eye view of the beauty that surrounds us, everywhere.
Photography is not only my passion but my heart and soul...I truly love capturing everything on film (and on digital!) . I use all pro Nikon digital and film equipment, and when the project calls for it, even lomography.
Photographic images are so subjective...I love to see others' perspectives on the same thing....and it's not just the focal point of a photograph that makes it beautiful, it's how the photo is composed. Someone can take a picture of a beautiful (or some other powerful emotion) scene and you can say, "Wow, what a beautiful scene!" but it's quite another scenario to say, "WOW! I feel this photograph!".
My personal passion is black and white images - so much emotive impact can be conveyed through this medium. I love inky goodness especially in a wonderful landscape. However, I've recently discovered a love for vintage fashion and glamour photography as well.
Ive been published in SJSU's REED Magazine, Conclave Magazine, and SKORCH Magazine, as well as a variety of other projects including an ad for Weis Markets.
Services & Rates
I provide pet, family and personal portraits, fashion and glamour sessions, headshots, model portfolio images, commercial images, fine art, and boudoir images. If you're a model who's just starting out, or you're just a person a little uncomfortable in front of the camera, I can provide some direction - no worries! I provide a relaxing and fun environment in which you're comfortable so that we are assured of getting phenomenal results! In studio (conveniently located in Fremont) or at a location of your choice.
I also have a back up photographer who often accompanies me who also uses all Nikon pro equipment, and is a student at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Additionally, I have extremely talented, professional, and very personable make up artists and hair stylists if you need them (for an extra - but reasonable - fee).
I also prefer to briefly meet with all of my clients before every shoot so that we can get to know one another, chat about the shoot, and get any questions answere out of the way.
